May 27th 2010, Checkride in the storm
Mr. Michiaki Kimura has successfully added the multi engine rating on his private pilot certificate. It was in the middle of the storm but the ceiling was high and the visibility was good enough for him to go! He did everything very well at commercial pilot level according to Jim the examiner.
May 19th 2010, Instrument rating!
Mr. Yu Akao passed the instrument rating practical test with the examiner Jim in N212AN. "What is your name?" " My name is Yu(sounds like YOU)" "No, I'm asking your name." "I am Yu(you)" " No! you are not me."
May 19th 2010, New Instructor!
Mr. Nigel D'Souza(right) passed the flight instructor practical test with the FAA inspector Paul King(left) in Piper Arrow N2496M. If you need an instructor, please call him!
May 18th 2010, First Solo Flight
Mr. Lee Seungkwon has finished his first solo flight in N25914! He and his instructor Paul had worked hard together. He will continue to the next stage.
May 7th 2010, Koji's last student pass IFR!
Mr. Hajime Isayama passed his instrument rating in N212AN. His instructor Koji has left US this morning for his Japanese commercial license training. Koji would be glad if he could hear that the examiner Jim said that Hajime did all the approaches at ATP standard.
May 16th, Chino Airshow!
Some of our students went to Chino Airport for the AirShow of plane of Fame musium. It was foggy in the mor ning but got clear soon. There were many warbirds flying solo, formations. People enjoyed watching them, takeing photo and video. These are some photos from that airshow.
Japanese Zero flighter. This is only flyable Zero with original engine. There are tow more flyable but those have the engines made in USA. You can see this airplane in the movie" Pear harber". It is highly maneuverble with weak protection.
F-6-F Hellcat is a carrier based fighter with 2000hp engine. Very fast, strong airplane over Pacific ocan.
B-17 Flying fortless is flying. This bomber airplane can fly faster than the most of the fighter airplane at that time.May 4th, Visitors from India
we had a special visitor from India. Mandeep who graduated Nice Air in 1997 came to visit us. He is a captain of Airbus A-320 for Air India now.
May 3rd 2010, BBQ Party!
There is no reason but since many students are learning here at nice Air, we had a BBQ party to show our appreciation. Many people came from miles around to have good time, to enjoy foods and drinks.
May 2nd 2010, Visitor from Japan
Do you rememmber the man who took a private on March 26th this year? Mr. Yosuke Murata(right) came back again for a short stay(only 5 days). He will enjoy some cross country flights and prepare for the instrument rating. Takeshi Igawa(left) who has CFI also visits from Japan. There is long hollyday called "Golden week" in Japan from te end of April to the beginning of May.
May 1st 2010, Visit for the flight reviwe!
Mr. Takehiro Akutsu who got his private pilot certificate 2 years ago came back for the flight review. His father who also is a pilot, is with him. Chiwami took them for a bay tour. You can see the Golden Gate Bridge at the right window.
